The Mighty Remix workshop showcases how Caribbean culture represents resilience in the face of systemic oppression. It encapsulates how enslaved and exploited people from West Africa, South Asia, and East Asia resisted colonial powers.

While DJ’ing, students are shown how the music created by people separated by geography, language, customs, and traditions celebrate their culture and how far they have come despite facing significant adversity. This interactive DJ workshop highlights the importance of diversity while promoting empathy, respect, and understanding for people from different backgrounds.
